Happy Anniversary Mum and Dad

Happy Anniversary Mum and Dad

Please excuse the absolutely awful quality of this photo

I made the card back in December and we didn't have a single nice day to photograph it before I took it up to mum and dad. The colour is a little bit off and the little gold flowers weren't nearly that shiny in real life, but, you get the gist

I used some Craftwork Cards pearlescent paper for the background, the large hearts are die cuts and the smaller ones punches, foliage is dies and small flowers are a Stampin' Up punch

Hope you both have a lovely day

Love and kisses

Happy birthday dad

It is my dad's birthday today

Happy birthday to you dad, love you xxx

I made a slightly unusual card, a three page concertina style

And although dad is not really a big card player I found these humorous playing cards and knew they would make him chuckle

I concocted a couple of 'card themed sentiments' to add to each page

I used some of my favourite Prima papers and created the hearts and spades from a heart punch and the diamonds were handcut

Hope you are having a lovely day dad, miss you

Love and kisses

Life's a beach

It is a very special week in our household

It is Molly's birthday today and Bruce's birthday tomorrow

We bought them some new toys and headed out to the beach for some seaside shenanigans

The pair of them absolutely love the beach and would stay there all day

Here is Molly being just a little bit canny, waiting for Bruce to do all the hard work. Bruce braves the waves, e retrieves the stick, only to be met by  a relentless Molly who snatches the stick from his mouth as he heads back for another throw

And you can see just how fearless my little labrador is, absolutely nothing will stop her, it doesn't matter how big the waves get she will frolic in the surf all day if we let her

So that was the first of many I hope. We all love our beach days, nothing like the sea air to blow away the cobwebs

Love and happy hounds

Thankful

 Happy New Year

My first card of the year is a thankyou card

I created a variation on the standard stepper card with a double step in the centre

I used a mix of old dies and new dies. I just love my new cha cha cha dandelion dies
The leaves are Marianne, as is the fancy tag in the centre, the green centres to the flowers are an old Martha Stewart snowflake punch and the butterflies are a cut and emboss folder from Stampin' Up

The extra step in the centre of the card adds a little more dimension and an extra surface to decorate

I hope you have all had a lovely new years day

We have spent a peaceful and very restful day at home, a long lie in followed by a roast lunch and not much else to be honest - bliss !

Love and happy new year wishes
